Tyrone Tiger and Andrew Lynch clear the last

On the go since his five-year-old point-to-point days, the now ten-year-old Tyrone Tiger gained the second win of his life when victorious under Andrew Lynch for the Applepie Syndicate and Suzy Barkley in the Summer Evening Racing At Fairyhouse Handicap Hurdle.
Tyrone Tiger went off a well-backed 7/2 market-leader (from 5s) for this two miler, and he led before the last.
The Talkin Man gelding was then strongly pressed in the closing stages, ultimately all out to contain All About Alfie by a neck.
Miss Barkley reflected afterwards: "He's come through so much. He'd a couple of years off after an operation on a leg, and I'm so proud of him. He's not run a bad race since he's come back.
"He's a different horse on that ground, although in a few more days you would start to get afraid as it's drying out so quick."
