Dumhach Thra went one better on his return to Galway when claiming the angloprinters.ie Handicap Hurdle for mother and son team Mags and Danny Mullins.
The Annette Mee-owned gelding had chased home cosy winner Ilikedwayurthinkin at the festival early last month and was a strongly supported 9/4 favourite today (6/1 this morning).
He was produced to challenge turning for home and joined Sizing Malbay over the last in the two-mile contest.
The Milan gelding found plenty on the run-in to go on and record a three-and-three-quarter length win.
Mags Mullins said:- "He stayed at it up the hill and is a tough horse. Michael and Pierce (Mee) love Galway and its great to have a winner for them at Galway.
"He is improving the whole time and Milan is a good solid sire. I think he can go up in trip and a little better ground might suit him better also."
