On her first start outside maiden company Theophile delivered in the Leopardstown Handicap for Jim Bolger and Rory Cleary.
The addition of blinkers seems to have brought the 10/1 victor forward, and she followed up on a Fairyhouse maiden win from 25 days back.
Favourite Maker Of Kings kept going well, but not well enough to catch one length scorer Theophile.
Another ‘finisher,’ Golden Valour was three parts of a length back in third.
Representing Coolcullen Una Manning said: “I’m delighted with that and it will be more of the same.
“She saw the mile out well and it’s a nice pot to get.”
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Emiyn (FR), trained by D. K. Weld, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
S.T. McCullagh, rider of Tauran Shaman trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly into stride.
