Bought by owner/trainer Jimmy Barcoe out of a Clonmel claimer in September That's Ours provided a quick return on investment when successful in split two of the Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey & Trainer Championship Handicap at Dundalk. Jockey David Fitzpatrick won't forget the Giant's Causeway gelding in a hurry as the six-year-old provided him with his first winner (tenth ride).

Without success in thirteen previous starts having run for three different yards, That's Ours was paying a fair compliment to the skills of Gowran-based Barcoe and the 20/1 chance just lasted it out by a short head from Mount Flora

A big gamble went astray in this mile and a half event. Manorov was about a 4/1 chance this morning, he went off the 6/4 favourite, but after having every chance the Sholokhov gelding could manage no better than sixth under Colin Keane.

"It's the first winner for the young lad so it's great. He's from Leitrim and he's attached to Jim Bolger," said Barcoe.

The Stewards interviewed D. Fitzpatrick, rider of That's Ours (USA), winner, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion D. Fitzpatrick was in breach of Regulation 10 3 (g) in that he had used his whip with his arm above shoulder height, and having considered his record, the Stewards cautioned him accordingly.

S. Foley, rider of Little Arrows trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount didn't move well throughout.

R.P. Downey, rider of Zambezi Tiger trained by Garry Caldwell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost his action turning into the home straight and was eased. (GC & EM)
