Testing ground in Navan

It is day one of the Navan Racing Festival and the going is now soft to heavy, heavy in places after 8mm of rain overnight.
Light showers are expected today and tomorrow with approximately 2-4mm of rain.
Today's eight-race card gets under way with a maiden hurdle at 11.50am while there is graded action in the Grade 3 Bar One Racing For Auction Novice Hurdle, the Grade 2 Railway Bar Lismullen Hurdle and the Grade 2 Bar One Racing Fortria Steeplechase.
Last year's winner Home By The Lee clashes with Zanahiyr and Bob Olinger in the Lismullen Hurdle.
Sire Du Berlais is a notable non runner.
