Tantalising toughs it out
Tantalising wore down front-runner El Gran Torino to get up in the closing stages of the mile-and-a-half maiden at Bellewstown.
The runner-up had made a bold bid to make all but had to give way inside the final furlong as Billy Lee drove his mount to the front.
The David Wachman-trained filly had shown promise when fifth on her debut at Leopardstown and had attracted support this morning (5/1 into 2/1) before drifting on course and being sent off an 11/4 shot.
"I dropped my whip a furlong-and-a-half out," admitted Lee afterwards. "Once she got past the road she got going again and she'll get further than that."
