Tanoura storms home for debut success
Tanoura found a stunning turn of foot to get up on the line for a winning debut in the Fillies Maiden at Leopardstown.
The Aga Khan-owned filly provided John Oxx and Mick Kinane with a double on the card when storming home in the final furlong to grab the spoils.
The daughter of Arc winner Dalakhani and Pretty Polly winner Takarouna only had two behind entering the straight but found another gear to swoop on the outside.
"We like her and always thought she was a nice filly but I didn't fancy her on the ground today. I would have been happier to start her off in Dundalk," said Oxx.
"I had written off her chance beforehand but decided to go ahead and give her a run. It didn't look like she would be anywhere turning in but once Mick gave her a flick she took off.
"She's in the Moyglare but she's not really a big filly and won't run too often. We'll see about the Moyglare or if we'll wait longer."
