The JP McManus colours sported by jockey Jody McGarvey came home in front in the two and a half mile handicap chase at Down Royal.
The eight-year-old Take A Shot trained by Francis Flood, led before two out and kept on to beat Popaflora (12/1) by a length and a half. Dunroe Boy was a nose away in third, also at 12/1.
“It’s getting really testing out there. His jumping was brilliant and that got the job done. He got to the front earlier than I wanted and he was idling,” jockey Jody McGarvey said.
