Henry de Bromhead's Tag Man (9/4) relished a new trip of three miles in the Pepsico (Walkers Snacks) Hurdle at Down Royal.
The eight-year-old gelding worked his way to the front on the run-in and outgunned 4/6 favourite Run For Oscar by a length and a-half.
Rachael Blackmore said: "He really did (show a turn of foot at the end of three miles) and it is great to get that with him. The step up in trip really helped.
"In parts he got keen once or twice, but he settled then after, so happy on the whole. I loved the way he picked up past the last.
"It is nice when they pick up past who you want them to. He galloped well to the line and it was great.
"I think so (trip and ground key), this kind of ground suited him so it was great to get that win today.
"He has fences there as an option as well."
Tag Man brought up an across-the-card treble for de Bromhead who also struck in Wexford with Chtzpal and Gorgeous Tom
