Successful Bow for Kaprun
Kaprun who managed a win on the level and achieved a rating of 79, began his hurdling career successfully in the Botanica Natural Beauty Maiden Hurdle.
Michael Darcy rode the son of Montjeu for Brian Nolan and they got the better of a three-way war with The Tartan Army and favourite, Whiskey And Rye up the straight, to prevail by two lengths and one and three parts of a length.
Nolan said: "He'll mix with the flat and will probably come back here at the next meeting (April 5th) for a mile handicap. Davy Moran schooled him at home so we'll have to give him the ride then. He jumped great but I was just a bit worried about him staying. He likes the soft ground." (EM)
