Stumptown enjoys conditions in Thurles
Danny Mullins steers Stumptown home

Stumptown availed of a positive ride from Danny Mullins to take the www.thurlesraces.ie Handicap Steeplechase over an extended two miles five furlongs.
The 10/3 favourite had all bar Charlie Stout (12/1) beaten off before the final fence. That rival was less than fluent at it, though, and Stumptown was able to draw 12 lengths clear of him at the winning post.
The field came home at big intervals with R'evelyn Pleasure a further 19 lengths adrift in third at 8/1.
Gavin Cromwell said: "We fancied him the last day in Punchestown, but he never jumped. He jumped the first couple, but then missed nearly every fence after that. For a horse who didn't jump, he wasn't beaten that far.
"A bit of better ground helped today and he jumped well. He had plenty of light at this fences and he gave him a smashing ride. Hopefully the handicapper won't be too hard on him as after he won his maiden hurdle, he had plenty of chances without winning."
