"I'm delighted with that. I've always thought a fair bit of this horse," said Andy Oliver after his charge, Power Struggle scored at the fourth attempt, under Fran Berry, in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Median Auction Maiden (Plus 10 Race) at Dundalk.
Always to the fore, the Turtle Bowl colt may have edged to his right from over a furlong out, but he still managed to get the better of the well-backed favourite Kalidabad by a head.
"On his first run, as mine tend to do, he blew up and did a bit too much. On his last two runs he's had traffic problems and been stopped everywhere," further explained Oliver.
"Fran said he was straight forward and that he got him out and free of trouble. He said once he hit the front he switched off and he had plenty in hand when the other horse came to him.
"I don't think there is anything else for him here. He'll be a lovely horse to progress. Fran gave him a great ride."
The Stewards informed J. S. Bolger, trainer that Dynamic Focus would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
