Streets Of Gold justifies his short price
Streets Of Gold justified his short price when taking the Kieran Kelly Memorial Beginners Chase for trainer Christy Roche.
Alan Crowe who carried the familiar colours of JP McManus was in front after three out and kept on well from before the last to see off all challengers and score by a comfortable seven lengths.
A delighted Roche said afterwards: “He’s rated a 120 and he did what you’d expect him to do off of that mark and it’s great he won.”
“He always runs well around here, he’s a bit small and the small fences around here suit him.”
“We just have a question mark over whether he’d have enough scope to handicap chasing with him, you can see it’s a big effort for him.”
