Moyode Lady took the honours in Limerick's three mile opportunity handicap hurdle under Gavin Brouder.

The six-year-old mare had the leaders well within her sights heading out of the back straight and she improved from fourth to lead turning in.

She took a couple of lengths out of Drifting Back jumping the second last and popped that obstacle well.

Drifting Back had been burned off coming to the last, however, Life Isfor Living stayed on strongly to close.

Moyode Lady was driven out on the run-in to account for Life Isfor Living by a length and a quarter at 7/1, having opened at 9/2.

Life Isfor Living was a 12/1 chance and he beat third-placed Drifting Back (6/1) by two and three quarter lengths.

Trainer James Nash said: "It was a low-grade race and she had a good run at Newcastle the last day. I was hoping it wouldn't be too soon for her but it looks like she stays and we'll try and find something similar for her next.

"It is easier to win races in Britain; she was second in a maiden hurdle in Newcastle when she wouldn't get into the first 15 in a maiden hurdle here. It was even proven today as she had finished second in that maiden hurdle but only just won from 83 today.

"It was great to win with her and I have 10 or 12 for the winter."

The Stewards received a report from Ms. Avena O'Keeffe, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that O.R. Brown, rider of (sixth-placed) Ask Mary weighed in at 1.2 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that O. R. Brown was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered O. R. Browns record in this regard, they suspended him for two race days.
