Solar Sail skips clear of her rivals
The second division of the one mile two furlong handicap at Dundalk saw Solar Sail sprint away from her rivals for a comprehensive three-and-a-half length victory for trainer John McConnell and jockey Gary Carroll.
McConnell was delighted with the success. He said: "She was well handicapped on her old form. I tried her here on Tuesday with Gary Carroll and she went well.
"I'm pleased for the new owner Danny Fleming who owns a pub in Kerry. He couldn't get up but I told him the horse wouldn't be out of the first three." Chaparro the 11/4 favourite stayed on late but couldn't get to the winner. Single Lady was half a length behind Chaparro in third.
