Solais lights up Bolger double
Claoimh Solais completed a double on the evening for trainer Jim Bolger and stable jockey Kevin Manning in the concluding Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden.
The daughter of Galileo was threatened by eventual runner-up Catch The Eye from over one furlong out but the winner stayed on well for a comfortable success.
Bolger was not immediately available for comment and his assistant Ger Flynn said “I was talking to Mr Bolger by phone and he mentioned the Irish Guineas as a possible next race. She always showed that she was a potential Guineas filly.”
