Sneaky Getaway made all the running to justify strong 4/9 favouritism in the concluding Tote Supporting Limerick Bumper at Limerick tonight, scoring for cousins trainer Emmet Mullins and jockey Patrick Mullins.
Successful on his previous start when racing on the extreme outer at Cork on April 21, Sneaky Getaway today quickened clear of his rivals in the home straight and readily beat Baboin by six lengths.
Afterwards Emmet Mullins, who claimed yesterday's Gowran winner Percy B Shelley, stated “thankfully it all went to plan. He is a nice horse to look forward to and it was great to get a winners bumper out of him. Hopefully we will have a good summer ahead of us with him.
“Patrick said he improved again since he rode him in Clonmel and he might even go for a little Flat race now, a qualified riders maiden in Leopardstown or something."
