Snaefell wins Renaissance Stakes
Fran Berry who won the DSF Park Stakes aboard Duff at Doncaster yesterday was back in winner’s enclosure after he came home in front of the Irish Daily Mirror Renaissance Group 3 Stakes aboard the Michael Halford trained Snaefell
Berry produced the winner to lead inside final furlong before quickening away to win by two and half lengths from Girouette under Michael Hussey.
Winning trainer Halford said afterwards: “He deserved his day, he has been a great servant to us all year. The pace of the race really suited him today.”
“There is not a lot left for him pattern wise, there is the Joe McGrath Handicap here in few weeks time. We will see how he comes out of the race, it would be a very big ask of him."
