Smart Jezki makes it two for Harrington

The well-related Jezki was the one for money this morning for the www.leopardstown.com (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race (7/1 into 4/1) and he lived up to the rumours under Mark Fahey to give Jessica Harrington a double following on from Citizenship in the big one.

This eight horse event developed into a bit of a sprint from the turn-in and Nina Carberry was one of the first to commit on Ned Buntline However he couldn't fend off Jezki in the closing stages and went down by three parts of a length. Favourite Silver Concorde struggled a bit when the 'heat was turned on,' he got caught in a pocket and eventually stayed on for third, another three and three parts of a length back in third.

Mrs Harrington said: "He got into all sorts of trouble down the back but battled great. He's a full brother to Jenari and a half-brother to Jetson.

"We always thought he was a bit better than Jenari at home but don't ask me where we go next. We'll sit down and have a talk about it."

Jezki is a home-bred by his owner Gerard McGrath out of his good broodmare La Noire who has also produced Jered.
