Jockey Andy Slattery bagged a double at Dundalk tonight when Amemri sprang a 40/1 shock in another tight finish, to the three-year-old handicap.
The David Marnane-trained filly was a pound out of the handicap proper and came good on her seventh career start.
Slattery produced his mount to challenge inside the final furlong and she grabbed a narrow lead close home to record a neck victory over Fleetfootsoldier
The winner had been well held on her last visit to the track but had run well when fourth on her penultimate outing.
Slattery said: "She's done that well.
"I rode her the last day and David said she might just take the run.
"She was spot on and came on leaps and bounds from it today.
"She put up a good performance.
"She did (enjoy the surface) and, in fairness, she ran a good race for a long way the last day. She just got tired at a point. Today, fitness has stood to her."
Slattery had also won on Burren Song earlier on the card for his father Andy.
