Skyway from the Dick Brabazon stable got his head in front on the third time of asking when he coming home in front of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden.

Keagan Latham never had the Trans Island filly too far off the pace and the pair hit the front inside the final furlong and kept on for neck win over Smart Striking

Winning trainer Brabazon said afterwards: “It’s great for the owner who is in the Mater Hospital at the moment so this will really cheer him up.”

“He has been waiting a while for her to win.”

“We’ll go for a handicap next, she’s a real good ground filly and she’s very tough.”
