Sixth success for Jered Maddox

Jered Maddox (4/1) notched a sixth career win today, and a fifth at Dundalk, as the course specialist landed the Racing TV Club Day Handicap for trainer David Marnane and jockey Donagh O'Connor.
The City Equine II Syndicate's gelding's other success came when sent by his same connections to land a 2019 Ffos Las maiden and today arrived from mid-field to score by three parts of a length from Yester
Winning jockey Donagh O'Connor reported “I thought he had a right chance and so did David (Marnane), who has him in great nick. He has been in great form throughout the winter.
“He is getting that bit older now and stepping up in trip from six (furlongs) has really helped him - he loves to travel in his races.”
He added “we didn't think there was much pace on so were a little more forward that we'd usually be but we wanted to keep tabs on the one in front in case they went too slow. It meant that I'd have something to aim at inside the furlong pole.
“He'll get you anywhere from the three to the furlong pole, he has a good bit of gear but he has a look around in front, so you can't get there too soon.
"This year has started well, so hopefully I'll keep it going."
