Paul Townend rode his fifth winner in succession when Shewearsitwell justified odds-on favouritism in the Kilcawley Construction Mares Maiden Hurdle at Sligo.
Like the other four in the winning spree Shewearsitwell is trained by Townend’s boss, Willie Mullins, and she made it two from two after winning a bumper at Galway.
Owned by the Closutton Racing Club the successful daughter of Shirocco was never far away before beating the pace-setter, Bonarc by eight lengths.
"She done it well on the whole. She jumped fantastic bar the last, we were rattling down to it and she put down on me,” reported Townend.
"She's going the right way. She was a little bit more in my hands today, she knew she was going racing, but she's very inexperienced compared to some of those in the field and you'd have to be happy with the result.
"I'd say she'll be versatile as regards her trip."
