She Tops The Lot came home well to pick off Tesseracht in the Tipperary Handicap Chase.
The eight-year-old Yeats mare improved into third between the final two fences with Tesseracht and Black Samurai duelling in front of her.
Black Samurai cracked and dropped to third at the last as She Tops The Lot gained on the leader Tesseracht.
She Tops The Lot got on terms with a hard-driven Tesseracht in the final 100 yards and came home stronger by a length.
She was returned the 4/1 joint favourite from the 12/1 runner-up (backed in from 20s). Black Samurai (4/1jf) plodded on for third a further six length back.
This gave de Bromhead a Tipperary double as Gin On Lime took the preceding race, the Grade 3 novice chase. Dancing On My Own also scored in Killarney for de Bromhead.
Henry de Bromhead, “Super ride from Mikey (O'Connor) and I’m delighted for the lads who are quite local to here as Foleys Bar is in Cashel. I’m sure whatever celebrating you are allowed to do in Covid times it will be done tonight!
“It was a tough performance by both horse and rider. She was lucky to still be in the race (after a mistake) with a circuit to go.
“We’ve had a frustrating summer with her but the lads have been very patient.”
