Security Breach made the long trip to Tramore today a worthwhile one, winning the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden for Co Tyrone trainer Andy Oliver.
Ridden by Chris Hayes, the gelded son of Red Clubs looked booked for second spot behind leader Dante Inferno when in the dip, but to Security Breach's credit, he stuck to his task well to edge his way ahead of Dante Inferno close home.
Oliver was not present for the win but Hayes did later say “Security Breach was a bit green on his debut and today I thought Declan (McDonogh, on Dante Inferno) had got it but my fellow kept on well. Once he met the rising ground I knew we'd get there - he'll be a nice horse now for someone to go jumping with eventually.”
