We had a couple of outsiders, Fainleog and Mystical Past withdrawn at the start of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) Maiden at Naas, necessitating a four minute delay. That'll have mattered not a jot to connections of Sea Coast the 11/8 victor.
'Dusty' Foley always looked comfortable on the daughter of Rock Of Gibraltar and Michael Halford's charge ultimately convincingly beat Muileata by two and a half lengths.
Halford said of the Mrs Antoinette Kavanagh (Kildaragh Stud) owned three-year-old: "She was entitled to win her maiden and she done it nicely on the night.
"She had a couple of very solid runs and I thought if she reproduced any of those she'd be hard to beat. It all went to plan.
"She could be improving as she's a big scopey filly.
"We'll run her in a big handicap and she'll take her chance in a Listed race somewhere before the end of the season too.
"She was keen going to post so he dropped her in today to settle her."
The Stewards informed W.J. Martin, trainer that Mystical Past, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Meandering trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
