Se Beag wins for O'Dwyer
Ronan O’Dwyer, who is well known in the pre-training & breaking ranks, saddled his first winner on the track when his Se Beag took the www.gowranpark.ie handicap hurdle under Alain Cawley.
The 14/1 shot was running in his first handicap here and took advantage of his low mark to win by ½ a length from Mutaderek, who finished like a 5f sprinter and gave connections of the winner heart palpatations, to take second under Davy Condon.
O’Dwyer said afterwards, ‘The plan was to win and things worked out well on the day. He will be kept on the go now and Fairyhouse & Punchestown are possibilities.’
‘I have three in training for the track and a few more pointers. I have may license two years and train near Fairyhouse racecourse in Ratoath.’
