Scavenger scores for Morris
The Mouse Morris trained Scavenger who has been faller on his last three outings redeemed his record after he came home in front of the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Chase in the hands of Robbie McCarth.
McCarth had the Presenting gelding in front at the third last and were headed before next.
The pair kept on well under pressure to lead close home for a half a length win over Tiernan’s Terror.
A delighted Morris said afterwards: “He battled very well there. He seems to have got his jumping in order.”
“He’s a good horse he was upsides Cooldine one day at Thurles it went downhill from there. I think he just lacks a bit of concentration.”
