Samba School for Hayes
Chris Hayes was in the winner's enclosure when coming home in front of The Irish Mirror Maiden aboard 9/2 shot Samba School of Kevin Prendergast's in the familiar colours of Lady O'Reilly.
Racing manager to Lady O'Reilly James Kelly said afterwards, "She has been very unlucky in her last two runs. Everything going well she'll head for the fillies 7f handicap Derby weekend so hopefully she'll get in."
Winning jockey Hayes stated, "She really enjoyed that and that wasn't even her ground. She nearly would have won the last day only we got bumped close home."
