Kevin Manning produced Sailing South on the line to grab the extended six furlong juvenile maiden in Listowel.
Jim Bolger 's Teofilo filly was pushed along in fourth over two furlongs from home and couldn't have been called the winner at that stage.
She was fifth passing the furlong pole but stormed home down the outside to time it just right.
The 12/1 shot nailed War Leader (7/2) by a short head and Quick Quick was the same distance away in third at 10/1.
Travelling head lad Ger Flynn said: "Kevin said the conditions are very testing and she was very brave. She was a little bit lost early on around the bends and showed a fantastic attitude and gameness to finish out.
"She is a lovely filly and I'd imagine she might run in a nursery next."
Kevin Manning said: "I wasn't sure (if I had got there) - I didn't think I was beaten but at the same time you are never sure until it is called.
"She had shown a little bit at Naas and she had come forward and she was working quite well at home. You are going into the unknown, I mean it is soft to heavy out there but its fresh - the first race on it.
"She stayed at it well and stayed going well to the line."
