Ryan considers appeal against two day suspension
Jockey Tom Ryan is considering an appeal against a two day suspension he received following an incident at the start of the Newtown Handicap Chase at Tramore today.
As the tapes went back, Ryan, riding The Hurler was adjudged to have carried out two other runners, Dancing Impact and Bio Boy and was therefore suspended for two racedays.
The Stewards were of the opinion that a fair start had been effected and that Ryan was in breach of rule 40 in that he had wilfully turned his mount around after the tape had been released.
Ryan stated he is considering an appeal.
