Templemore trainer John Ryan enjoyed a welcome change of luck at Listowel as Presenting Mahler made all for a runaway victory in the Charlie Chute Memorial Handicap Chase.
Ryan had a number of horses placed during the week including Georges Conn who would have gone close but for a final fence mistake in the previous race.
The 100/30 chance set a strong pace and gave an exhibition of jumping under Danny Mullins, staying on strongly in the straight to score by all of 21 lengths. Tikkanen Express took the runner-up spot, with Three Wise Men a further 22 lengths back in third.
The 7/4 favourite Act In Time was pulled up after a terrible blunder just before halfway.
Ryan said, "Danny and myself were hardly talking all week as he got off Kylecrue and Kilcarry Bridge to ride Willie's (Mullins), and I was going to strangle him. We've a winner each for the week now so it's no so bad.
"She is a proper bit of stuff once she gets her ground and the O'Learys (Gigginstown) bought her full brother at the Derby Sale for E72,000 and he's a cheap horse."
