Ruby gets a tune out of another grey mare
Ruby Walsh got a good tune out of the grey mare Burnt Oil Babe here yesterday and the Kildare man used his sublime talents to good effect again on another lighter coloured variety of the fairer sex as he brought Carutomark home the victor of the Paul Carberry Autobiography Best Seller Handicap Hurdle at Punchestown.
Walsh produced the grey daughter of Distant Music from before the last and he wasn't taking no for an answer on the run-in as he drove the seven-year-old out for a two and a half length success over Clarkey
Paul Magnier trains Carutomark for Stablegate Racing Club.com and he said: "That's the second horse Ruby has ridden for me and they've both won (the other being Duers .
"She's a bit of a lady but she's been in such good form lately that she deserved the champion rider. She might now go for a three mile chase at Thurles next week.
"She's a law unto herself. A few times at Bellewstown she stopped when she hit the front."
