Ross run continues with Educator
Cecil Ross is enjoying a memorable run and struck again when The Educator took the concluding mile handicap at Bellewstown.
Danny Benson produced the gelding with a well-timed run inside the final furlong to record a length-and-a-quarter success over Music Pearl
The 16/1 winner had finished mid-division over six furlongs at Naas last time and seemed to appreciate the step up in trip here.
"The horses we've been running have been amazing but he's the last one I thought would be winning!" said Ross.
"He has ability but it's hard to get him to do it. He appreciated the mile today although I thought he wouldn't get it.
"He travelled today like he's never travelled before and that must be because he relished the mile. The young lad was very good on him and we are still learning about this horse."
