Trainer Reggie Roberts has had plenty of success with greyhounds over the years but recorded his biggest win with the 'gee-gees' at Dundalk this evening when his Timeless Call landed the featured Listed Mercury Stakes.
Winning jockey Pat Smullen was himself recording a double, having earlier won on Seanie and Roberts, who has had four Greyhound Derby finalists, stated “I've had some big wins at the dogs but that's my biggest wins with horses.
“I thought she'd run well but that's absolutely brilliant! She was a bit unlucky earlier this year at Tipperary and she ran well in the Rockingham from a bad draw. We'll keep her in training for another year!”
