Rising Time lifts Nolan's boat
The concluding race of the Fairyhouse Festival was the valuable €100,000 Tattersalls Ireland Sales Bumper which went to the Paul Nolan trained newcomer Rising Time under Andrew Duff.
The daughter of Old Vic got to the front inside the final furlong to hold off 9/4 favourite Theatre Guide
Afterwards Nolan stated “we were going to send her home a month ago but she then worked well on The Curragh so we decided to come here for this valuable pot.”
“She must be a hell of a mare to beat the geldings first time out and is valuable now. Her dam is the closest living relative of Dawn Run.”
Rising Time failed to sell twice (for €10,000 & €11,000) at the Tattersalls Derby Sale in 2009 & 2010.
The win helped make up for Nolan's misfortune when his Noble Prince fell in Sunday's Power Gold Cup.
