Riobamba wins for Lynam/Berry
Eddie Lynam's Riobamba landed a gamble (9/2 – 7/2f) to win the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap at Cork today, providing Fran Berry with his 63rd winner of the season.
Berry, on the mark three times last night at Dundalk, tracked the leaders on the daughter of Bernstein before producing his challenge inside the final furlong, eventually recording a three parts of a length win over Silver Shoon
Afterwards Lynam stated “Riobamba is a tough little filly and her owners are keen to get some black-type with her so she may go down that road now. We'll have a look at the All-Weather racing programme in England to find a suitable opportunity and France is also a possibility.”
