Rick off the mark in good style
Rick opened his account in great style in the opening maiden hurdle at Leopardstown today.
Paddy Flood 's mount travelled well throughout before hitting the front two from home.
He stretched clear before the last to record an easy 11-length success over fellow 11/8 joint-favourite Skorcher
The French-bred had some smart placed form coming into today's race including efforts behind Western Leader, Quel Esprit and Shinrock Paddy.
"He met good horses on his last few starts and mightn't be far off them," said trainer Dessie Hughes.
"He was impressive enough. He jumped quickly and quickened well and we'll find a graded race for him now."
