Revolutionary plot succeeds at Tramore

Revolutionary Road landed an old fashioned gamble to win the Graun Hill Suite - Perfect For Parties Handicap Hurdle at Tramore today for trainer Maureen Danagher and in the process erasing winning amateur jockey Lenny Flynn's name from the cold-list.
The son of Shirocco hadn't shown much in previous runs but, having just his second start for Co Limerick based Danagher and making his handicap hurdle debut, was backed on track from 25/1 in to 11/1, before finishing with a wet sail to edge ahead close home.
Flynn, formerly a professional jockey, hadn't ridden a track winner since last July and later filled in for Danagher (leading the horse away) saying “I rode him in Limerick but he didn't go on the ground and I told Maureen to keep him for good ground as he was going a bit sour otherwsie. It was a bad race today and the ground helped him.”
