Bumper winners like Fayette County, Group class sprinters such as My Girl Anna and low grade handicappers in the form of Reposer – it all seems to come alike to Ballinasloe, County Galway trainer, Muredach Kelly. He obviously has his horses on good terms with themselves right now as Reposer landed a punt under Colm O'Donoghue in the Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay Handicap at Dundalk.
Reportedly taken from as big as 12/1 in the betting offices earlier in the day (7/2 out to 9/2 on track), Reposer, having his third start for Kelly, was always looking good here under O'Donoghue.
He led under two furlongs out and the former dual John Best winner cross-channel soon only really had the pursuing Tsar Paul to worry about. The winner stayed on well from over a furlong out to score by two and three parts of a length.
Kelly, also on leading-up duties, said: "We changed his nuts (feed) and that's turned him around. That was badly needed (the win).
"My Girl Anna is going well and will be out soon. Watch this space!" (AM & EM)
