Rene too strong for others in Tourism handicap
The South Tipperary Tourism Handicap was notable for the gamble on the top-weight, Coastal Waters (at least 14s in the morning into 4/1) but himself and the rest were left to play second fiddle to Kevin Prendergast's Humor Me Rene
This American-bred was wide into the straight but once she hit the front under Declan McDonogh inside the final furlong she stayed on well to decisively beat Great Relief by three and a half lengths.
Coastal Waters meanwhile, made the pace at a good clip, but he couldn't raise his effort from before the furlong and ended up finishing fourth.
