Remember the name Giant Step
David Wachman completed a Cork treble when Giant Step impressively landed the concluding Best Dressed Lady & Gent (C & G) Maiden under Wayne Lordon.
Earlier on the mark with Requinto (also ridden by Lordan) and with the Seamie Heffernan partnered outsider Sapphire Pendant Wachman produced Giant Steps in tip-top order after a 240 day break to slam market-rival Kilbirnie by five and a half lengths.
Wachman said: "He is a nice colt. He'll step-up for a group race next and he'll have no problem stepping-up in trip either."
The win put Lordan at the head of the jockey's table for the 2011 campaign on 10 winners.
