Reel lands Tipperary Nursery
The opening 'Buy A Racing Post Yearling Bonus Candidate' Nursery Handicap, run in unfamiliar sunshine, went to the Harry Rogers trained Irish Reel which won comfortably under Shane 'Dusty' Foley.
The daughter of Redback, contesting her first handicap, eventually ran out an easy four and a half lengths winner from Milvian Bridge
Afterwards Rogers reported “that was an ordinary Nursery but a winner is a winner and Irish Reel will run again at The Curragh again on Sunday.”
He added “two tyres blew in my lorry on the way to the races and thankfully Des Cummins, driving Kevin Prendergast's lorry, came to the aid and picked us up.”
