Redskin Dancer steps up to the plate
John Oxx saddled Redskin Dancer to land the six furlong fillies' maiden at Naas by a length and a quarter from the well-supported 7/4 favourite Flic Flac The pair pulled five and a half lengths clear of Compelling
Oxx was slightly surprised at his filly's winning performance at 9/1. He said: "I thought she might need another run. We didn't learn much about her first time out on the soft ground at Fairyhouse.
"I also thought that six furlongs might have been a bit short and that she would have needed seven.
"She'll definitely get further and might do quite well next year with a bit of cut in the ground."
