Raiders target Gowran Group 3 glory

Odeliz and Regardez form a strong English challenge for the Group Three Denny Cordell Lavarack & Lanwades Stud Fillies Stakes at Gowran Park on Sunday.
Odeliz is hoping to make it third-time lucky having already gone close twice on her travels to Ireland this year, both at the Curragh.
The Karl Burke-trained four-year-old was only touched off close home by Vote Often in the Park Express Stakes on the opening day of the turf season, and again ran a cracker when returning for the Kilboy Estate Stakes in July.
In that nine-furlong Group Two event she was beaten less than a length by Mango Diva, and Danny Tudhope's mount would not be winning out of turn this season having finished runner-up to Fintry in the Atalanta Stakes at Sandown last time out.
Ralph Beckett sends over Regardez, and interestingly he has booked champion jockey Joseph O'Brien for the daughter of Champs Elysees.
She appeared not to stay behind Taghrooda in the Investec Oaks but has since recorded a stylish victory in the Listed Hoppings Stakes at Newcastle.
The most interesting of the home team is the Dermot Weld-trained Brooch The Khalid Abdullah home-bred justified prohibitive odds with considerable ease on debut at the Galway Festival, and followed up in the Listed Vincent O'Brien Ruby Stakes at Killarney last month. Alive Alive Oh has not quite lived up to the high expectations held for her after taking the Listed Salsabil Stakes in runaway fashion at Navan last year. However, she is steadily returning to form this season and any rain would help her cause. Maggie Dalton represents Jim Bolger, while the Michael Halford-trained Mizzava Shay Barry's Akira and Ballydoyle representative Adeste Fideles complete the eight-runner line-up.
