Quarry strikes again at Thurles
Quarryvale maintained her 100 per cent record at Thurles when running out a cosy winner of the opening handicap chase at the Tipperary track.
Jimmy Mangan 's charge had run away with a three-mile contest on her sole previous visit here last November and it was a similar story today.
The drop back to 2m2f proved no problem as she cut out the running and had her rivals struggling before the turn.
Paddy Mangan only had to use mimimal persuasion as the Beneficial mare powered to a 22 length victory.
"She'll go to Limerick on St Stephen's Day for a 2m3f handicap chase," revealed Mangan senior afterwards.
"The weights are out for that so she'll carry a mandatory penalty."
