Purpose grinds out victory
Sense Of Purpose was a warm order (2/1 to 6/5f) in the Kilcarn Stud EBF Fillies Maiden but had to work hard to claim victory.
Pat Smullen 's mount chased down Tashzara in the final furlong to get up close home for a neck victory.
"She did it nicely enough in the end and I thought she was always going to get there," said Kris Weld, representing his father Dermot.
"We'll see how she comes out of this but we could consider the Eyrefield Stakes (Leopardstown November 1st) for her. She's Listed place and we'll try and go one better."
