Peaches And Cream added to a clearcut win at Downpatrick this summer when justifying strong support in the New Inn Opportunity Rated Novice Hurdle at Clonmel.
The Gavin Cromwell-trained gelding had his task eased somewhat with the field reduced to just six after three non-runners, and he was sent off the well-backed 11/10 favourite.
Conor McNamara ’s mount challenged after three out and asserted in the straight with a fine jump at the last settling the issue.
The four-year-old came home a length and a half clear of Licklighter with Feel Des Mottes over four lengths further away in third.
Cromwell said, "Himself and Lucky Road both ran against each other in Killarney and we gave them both a break afterwards and both of them won since.
"He was grand there today and he is in at Listowel next week so we'll see.
"He has only half a tail as another horse ate it out in the field! It's not stopping him."
