Prospectus made a winning return to the level when powering home in the Quirke uPVC Windows Tipperary Perpetual Cup at Clonmel this evening.
Gavin Cromwell 's charge had made his first start in almost 11 months when beating one home over hurdles at Navan last month and was supported today into 2/1 favourite.
Rory Cleary drove his mount to the lead passing the furlong pole in the two-miler and he stayed on strongly in the closing stages to beat Waterville Dancer a length-and-a-quarter. Rashaan bidding for his third successive win in the race, could only finish fourth after racing prominently.
"He has had a lot of problems and needs soft ground and just got away with that today,” said Cromwell.
"He has a good oul engine and is in again over hurdles at Cork on Sunday and if the ground is soft enough he could possibly go there. I'm delighted for the lads, who have persevered with him.
"I don't really know where we go as the weather is all over the place.
"If you got rain on the summer tracks they can become as soft as it's been all winter but a week's rain wouldn't soften Fairyhouse or Punchestown. If you got a day's rain you'd get soft ground in Killarney or Roscommon, but I don't know."
