Tartlette defeated three higher rated rivals as she continued remarkable progression for trainer Shane Crawley at Dundalk today as the progressive mare landed the Hollywoodbest Horse Racing Race under jockey Seamie Heffernan.
The daughter of Champs Elysees failed to win in seven starts for Hughie Morrison in England but, bought by current connections for 11,000gns in July 2019, today gained her third Dundalk success.
The five year old mare began her winning spell rated just 60 and today rated 81 and receiving 5lbs, defeated 95 rated Bold Approach into second with Grandmaster Flash (rated 94) third, and Raphael (87) last of the four runners.
Crawley later commented “we're delighted with that. She ran a super race here the last day.
“This looked a good opportunity to get a run into her and it cut up a bit. She was in good nick at home and we were quietly confident coming here.
“She loves the surface, she has won three times around here now, and loves top of the ground.
“I think there could be a race back here for her in a fortnight's time, we'll see how she comes out of it.
“If we get a dry summer we should have sport with her but if it's a wet old summer we won't, it's as simple as that.”
